Is Gay Chat Rooms free?
Yes. The rooms, private messages, calls and games are all free. VIP and Gold are optional extras.
Do I have to register?
No. Enter as a guest with any available name and start chatting straight away. Registering is free and lets you keep your name, build a profile, add friends and make cam and voice calls.
Is it only for gay men?
Gay men are the heart of the site, but everyone in the community is welcome. There are rooms for lesbians, bisexual people and trans people too.
How old do I have to be?
You must be 18 or older, with no exceptions. Anyone under 18 is banned.
Is adult chat allowed?
Yes, between consenting adults. Keep explicit talk to private messages and cam calls, not the main rooms, and follow the chat rules.
How do cam and voice calls work?
Calls are for registered members, and registering is free. Open someone's profile and start a call. They have to accept, and your browser will ask before it uses your camera or microphone. You can end a call at any time.
Someone is bothering me. What do I do?
Use the three dots beside their message, or the flag on their profile, to report them, and use ignore so their messages stop reaching you. Moderators, shown with a shield at the top of the user list, can mute, kick or ban anyone breaking the rules.
What is Gold?
Gold is the virtual currency used in the chat's games. It has no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.

Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The chat works in any modern mobile browser, with nothing to download.
